Ok, recently my friend started a company and he wants me to make the 3d design’s of his product for him. I’ve done that but I don’t know what I have to do to make it so a CNC mill can cut out the design. Right now the file is in .prt format and I’ve heard a lot about G-code but don’t know if thats necessary or how to use it.

So my questions are.
1. Do i need to convert this cad into G-code to make it possible for a CNC mill to cut it out.
If so how?
2. Do I just give the manufacturing company who has the mill a flash drive with the file on it or should I take a diffrent approach. If diffrent what?
